DC Holiday Markets

You know what they say, right? Think local, shop local! It’s the holidays so there is truly no better time than now to do exactly that. DC has some amazing holiday markets and we’ve got a great round up for you. Most start next week (December 3) but some have already started or open up this weekend so time to get shopping!

Made in DC Pop-Up Market

4340 Connecticut Ave. NW
December 10-11

What’s better than a made in DC pop up for the holidays? This is the perfect way to shop local because you’re helping out your very own! Over 20 vendors will be on site and there is something for everyone!


Heurich House Museum, New Hampshire Ave NW
December 2 4 to 9 PM; December 3 and 4 11 AM to 5 PM

Why not get your shopping down in an early 1800’s mansion? Over 40 craftsmen (and women) will be onsite selling their wares and the museum will be open for people to tour. If you’re looking for some amazing ceramics…this is your place.

12th Annual Downtown Holiday Market

F St between 7th St and 9th St NW
November 25 through December 23 daily from noon to 8 PM

Sixty vendors at once that rotate so that 150 total vendors will have made their appearance at the downtown holiday market. Live music will be playing to help make your shopping more enjoyable and for when you really need some energy, donuts and coffee will be available (both by local business!)

Holiday Pop-Up Bazaar

518 10th St NE
December 4, 4 to 6 PM

This one is close to our hearts because it takes place on Capitol Hill and all of the included businesses are women-owned. To make this even better, there will be free massages on site!

The Junior League of Washington’s 58th Annual Holiday Shops

Dock5 at Union Market, 1309 5th St NE
November 18 6 to 10 PM, November 19 8 AM to 8 PM, November 20 8 AM to 6 PM

So you need tickets for this one…but all the proceeds go toward the Junior League and their efforts to better the city of DC. The tickets are only $5 unless you want to attend the kick off candy cane cocktail event. If that’s the case, the tickets are $55. 60 vendors will be on site AND you can bring your pup to take photos with Santa!

Alexandria’s Holiday Market

300 John Carlyle St., Alexandria
December 3 and 4, 9-11, and 16 through 22; 11 AM to 7 PM each day

All we really have to say here is they serve mulled wine and hot chocolate while you’re shopping. See you there!

All Crafts Considered

NPR Headquarters, 1111 North Capitol St NE
November 15 3 to 8 PM

Head on over to the NPR offices and find a collection of locally-made goods as well as New England made goods to fill all of your shopping carts!

Rosslyn Holiday Market Festival + Bonfire

Gateway Park, 1300 Lee Highway, Arlington
December 9-10

Get your fill of Northern Virginia made products and when you’re done, visit Santa or attend a gingerbread workshop!
